The Garden Of Eden

The Garden of Eden is the Origin of Provenance

We need to go back to Genesis and to the Garden of Eden for the place or origin of earliest known history. For me it is the birthplace and cradle of civilization. I believe documented evidence of provenance for our world is rooted in the Garden of Eden and the Word - the Bible. It is also the origin, root or source of the Gospel, which is the good news of salvation for Mankind through Yeshua (Jesus), the promised Jewish Messiah.

Welcome to Provenance 101

Provenance 101 is a place to explore the origins of life. It is rooted in the biblical story of creation and the Garden of Eden.

This site celebrates the beauty of our world, the stories that connect us to our Creator and His creation, why we are here and based on our decisions, where we are going.

Nick Dalgety

The Artist or the Designer of our world is God who makes Himself known in the Bible and through His creation. Both creation and the Bible are signatures of the Artist’s authenticity. God's only Son entered our world as a Man just over 2,000 years ago. His name, Yeshua, although commonly known in the Western world as Jesus. He is also referred to in the Bible as “The Word made flesh”. So for me all creation and the essence of provenance comes forth from The Word.

Man and His Wife Hid

Enmity Between the Seeds

In The Beginning There Was A Garden

Where life, beauty, and truth first took root

Where It All Began

The Garden of Eden is where it all began. In the Garden God placed Adam and Eve, a place where they would have all their needs met. Sadly they chose to disobey God, setting in motion the traumatic life story of Man. Paradise is not lost though in that at the same time God activated His redemptive plan!

From the Garden of Eden to the landscapes of Israel to the streets of Nelson, Provenance 101 works to connect the dots.
